How to Install a Linksys WMP54G Driver to Work on Windows XP 64-Bit

The WMP54G is a wireless network PCI adapter that you can install in your desktop computer and use to connect to a home wireless network. Unfortunately, Linksys does not support 64-bit operating systems, including Windows XP 64-bit. However, because the Linksys WMP54G contains a chip manufactured by Ralink, you can download and install Ralink 64-bit drivers, which work with the WMP54G on 64-bit operating systems. When installing the driver for the WMP54G on a 64-bit OS, you must manually specify the driver for the device; otherwise, the computer will not recognize the hardware.
