How to Delete an Explicit Tag on iTunes

Organizing your iTunes music library can become an epic task. There is more information available to you than you will ever need. With all the organizational options available, you probably do not need to see the "Explicit" tags on some of your songs, particularly if a child does not have access to your music collection. Fortunately, iTunes does have an option to remove the tag hidden away in the Preferences tab.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open iTunes.

    • 2

Select "iTunes," then "Preferences" from the main menu to open the Preferences dialog box.

    • 3

      Click the "Parental" tab.

    • 4

Remove the check next to the "Show content ratings in library" option.

    • 5

Click "OK." You will not see the Explicit tags in your music library.
