How to Find Machoke in "Pokemon Sapphire"
In the "Pokemon" video games, Machoke is a human-shaped Pokemon that spends its time building its muscles. It wears a special belt that aids in controlling its strength. As a Fighting-type Pokemon, Machoke specializes in physical attacks such as Seismic Toss and Karate Chop. It also possesses a resistance to Rock-, Bug- and Dark-type attacks. To harness Machoke's power in "Pokemon Sapphire," you must capture a Machop and train it until it evolves.

1
Travel to Route 112 in northwest Hoenn. The road curves around the side of Mt. Chimney, a volcano.
-
2
Walk around the grassy areas in the north or south section of the route until you encounter Machop. Machop's encounter rate is 25 percent.
-
-
3
Attack Machop to lower its health bar. This Pokemon is weak to Psychic- and Flying-type attacks. Avoid attacking with these elements as you may accidentally knock the target out.
-
4
Throw a PokeBall to capture Machop.
-
5
Fly to the nearest Pokemon Center.
-
6
Talk to the nurse at the counter to heal Machop. If Machop was sent to your storage system, withdraw the Pokemon and add it to your active party.
-
7
Travel to a grassy area and allow Machop to battle wild Pokemon or rival trainers. When Machop reaches level 28, it will evolve into Machoke. When training Machop, avoid opponents that use Flying and Psychic-type attacks. They will make short work of your Pokemon.

Tips & Warnings
The only other Pokemon you'll find on Route 112 is Numel, a camel-like creature.
You can also find Machop in Fiery Path, which is a tunnel on Route 112, and Jagged Path, a pass that leads down the side of Mt. Chimney.
To evolve Machoke into Machamp, its final evolution, trade the Pokemon to a different game file. Once the trade is complete, the evolution will begin. All of Machamp's attributes are slightly higher than Machoke's.
If you teach Machoke the Strength or Rock Smash techniques, it can assist you in your travels by clearing boulders that block your path.
