How to Use the Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Disk Launcher

Collectible card games allow opponents to create their own decks and battle each other. The Duel Disk is an extension of this basic concept.

The Yu-Gi-Oh Collectible Card Game originated from a very popular Japanese comic and TV series. In addition to the game, both series introduced the Duel Disk Launcher, a hand-held device that functioned as a play mat attached to the arm which allowed opponents to play against each other standing up. Eventually, Mattel developed a functional Duel Disk, letting fans play against each other with the technology. All the Duel Disk requires is some basic preparation for play.

Instructions

  Turn on the unit. The switch is located under the circular frame. Push the switch left toward the two tally marks.

  Place your left hand through the wristband. If you are left handed, put your right hand through the wristband.

  Connect the straps to the Velcro on the wristband. Relax your hand, palm up, and adjust the straps to fit your wrist.

  Insert your deck into the card holder, the branching rectangle attached to the circular frame.

  Begin play. Monster cards are placed in the large slots with triangles in the center. Magic and trap cards fit in the slots directly above these, and there is a retractable slot underneath the right end of the card slots for a field card. All normal gameplay rules apply.

  Adjust your life point display. The number screen is located on the left of the card holder. The triangular buttons will increase and decrease points as appropriate to gameplay.
