How to Change the Text Background Color in My Zwinky Profile

Profile pages and colors can be edited on Zwinky for maximum customization.

The popular website Zwinky allows its users to build customizable avatars, or representations of themselves, in the virtual world to be used in online games, chat rooms, shopping and more. Besides being able to customize your Zwinky avatar to reflect any style you wish and fit whatever mood you are in, you also have the ability to write and edit a personal profile for yourself, including your favorite quotes, your age and your interests. The design of your profile page can also be edited --- the website even gives you the option of changing themes and background color. Although you are not able to directly change the color of the text in your profile, you can change the color located behind the text.

Instructions

1. Log into your account on the Zwinky website. Click on the "Log In" button in the upper right corner of the webpage, then enter your user name and password and select "Login." You can check the box labeled "Remember me" if you want the site to remember your information for future visits so that you no longer have to enter your log in information. Only do this if you are not on a publicly shared computer.

2. Click on the "View Profile" button near the center of the page. This button is located in the purple "My Badges" frame and will open up a new window or tab in your Internet browser with your profile information.

3. Select "Edit Layout" from the menu along the top of the page. A small box will open that features options to change the theme of the profile page, the colors of the background and module headers and the colors of the bars directly behind the text.

4. Click on "Module Headers" and move the sliders to change the color of the bars behind each header's text. The sliders work independently of each other and control the red, green and blue tones found in the color. When you have changed their color to one that suits your preference, click "Save."

Tips & Warnings

• If your profile page does not automatically change when moving the color sliders, click "Save" and then select the "My Profile" button to load your page updated with your new colors.

• If you don't have a Zwinky account, you can create one by clicking on the "Register" button on the main Zwinky page.
