How to Get Pictures to Pop-up in Bulletins
Pop-up bulletins are a great twist to turn an ordinary information bulletin into an interesting bulletin. For profit and not for profit organizations alike create bulletins to get their message seen. A pop-up design is a powerful way to entice readers and ensure a main point or theme is looked at before being discarded.

Design the bulletin leaving space in the center for the pop out.

Add the picture to the center space. Print out the bulletins using your printer or take the file to a professional printer.

Fold the bulletins in half and make two parallel cuts that equal the length and width of the pop-up. Start on the fold and cut towards the open end of the paper.

Open the bulletin and push the pop-up out. Fold the pop-up in half.

Create a background for the bulletin by folding another piece of paper in half that is the same size as the bulletin.

Glue to the back of the bulletin leaving the pop-up glue free. This will create a background for the pop-upt so the viewer does not see an empty hole.

Tips & Warnings
An alternative is to leave the pop-up space blank and then after printing the bulletins and creating a pop-up, glue on the pop-up picture.
Add additional information to the background area of pop-up before gluing.
Use paper art for a pop-up instead of pictures and text.
