Instructions

    • 1

Design the bulletin leaving space in the center for the pop out.

    • 2

Add the picture to the center space. Print out the bulletins using your printer or take the file to a professional printer.

    • 3

Fold the bulletins in half and make two parallel cuts that equal the length and width of the pop-up. Start on the fold and cut towards the open end of the paper.

    • 4

Open the bulletin and push the pop-up out. Fold the pop-up in half.

    • 5

Create a background for the bulletin by folding another piece of paper in half that is the same size as the bulletin.

    • 6

Glue to the back of the bulletin leaving the pop-up glue free. This will create a background for the pop-upt so the viewer does not see an empty hole.

Tips & Warnings

  • An alternative is to leave the pop-up space blank and then after printing the bulletins and creating a pop-up, glue on the pop-up picture.

  • Add additional information to the background area of pop-up before gluing.

  • Use paper art for a pop-up instead of pictures and text.
