How to Make Admins on Weebly

Adding an editor to your Weebly website is as easy as typing "w-w-w."

Weebly is an easy-to-use platform on which you can build your website even if you have relatively no knowledge of HTML. Users can drag and drop pictures and blocks of text that are then edited much as in most word processing programs. Furthermore, Weebly provides both its basic and pro members with a multitude of add-on options. Adding an admin --- known as an editor on Weebly --- to your website is one of a variety of useful options offered and takes less than 5 minutes to set up.

  Go to the Weebly home page and log into your account.

  Click on the website to which you would like to add an editor. This will open up the general website editor.

  Select the "Editors" tab on the top of the page, between "Pages" and "Settings."

  Click on the orange button that reads "Add Editors."

  Enter the email of the person to whom you wish to grant editing permissions. You may include a message, if you wish.

  Select the type of permissions you would like to grant. Basic members will only be able to select "Administrator," while Pro members have the additional options "Author" and "Dashboard-Only Access."

  Click the orange "Add Editors" button to submit your request. The email addresses of all added editors will now appear on the "Editors" page along with their roles and dates of last login.

Tips & Warnings

Return to the "Editors" tab any time to add new editors, change a current editor's role or remove an editor's access.
Editors will only have access to the website on which you have manually added them. If you have multiple websites linked to a single Weebly account, editors will need to be added to each site individually.
