How to Cite SparkNotes
SparkNotes is a website that contains synopses and analysis of both classic and modern literature. If you use information from SparkNotes for a paper, you must cite it to avoid plagiarism. Because SparkNotes is a web resource and has no page numbers, it is not necessary to cite SparkNotes within the text; simply mention the name of the author before you quote. However, you should list the website in the work-cited page at the end of your paper.
