How to Test Pagination in a Database
When you use a database program to create forms and reports, you might find that those database elements do not fit on a single page. When working with multi-page database elements it is always a good idea to test the pagination before you print your document. Testing and verifying the page breaks within the data entry form or database report allows you to make any necessary changes without wasting paper or printer ink.

1
Open your database program. Open the database you want to test.

2
Go to the forms or reports section of the database, depending on which element you want to test. Right-click the form or report and choose "Design View" from the list of options.

-
3
Scroll through the form or report and look for the dotted lines that indicate a new page. Adjust the fields within the form or report to fit more or less on the page as needed.
-
4
Close the form or report in design view and double-click to open it in normal view. Click the "File" menu and choose "Print Preview" from the list of options.
-
5
Use the page up and page down keys to scroll through the pages in the form or report. The print preview function shows you exactly what your form or report will look like when it is printed.
