How to Make Five Intersecting Triangles
In geometry, students frequently have to work with triangles and other geometrical shapes. If asked to construct a figure with five intersecting triangles, the easiest way to go about it is to draw a circle and fill it with five identical triangles. The triangles will intersect at the center of the circle. This process requires basic circle-drawing skills as well as knowledge of how to use a compass and protractor.

1
Use a compass to draw a circle. Place the sharp point of the compass firmly where the center should be and rotate the pencil around the sharp point to draw a circle. Use a pencil to firmly mark the location of the sharp point.
-
2
Use a straightedge to draw a straight line between the center mark of the circle and the edge of the circle.

3
Place the hole of the protractor over the pencil mark, place the line of the protractor over the straight line and locate the 72-degree mark on the protractor, which is 1/5 of the 360-degree interior angle of a circle. Mark its location on the circle. Draw a straight line from the mark to the center of the circle.
-
4
Use the protractor to draw four more 72-degree angles until the circle is filled.
-
5
Erase the edges of the circle, so that there are five different open triangles. Draw a line between the two vertices at the base of each triangle to close the triangles.
