How to Get the Poke Button on the New Facebook Profile Page

Your poke button is visible to other Facebook members.

Facebook members can use the "Poke" feature to connect with friends, members of shared networks and friends of friends. It's a quick way of greeting someone with a single click. If you've noticed that your "Poke" button is absent from your profile page, fear not. The button is visible to friends who view your page. In its place on your profile page, you'll find the "Edit Profile" button. You can access your friends' "Poke" buttons in just a few steps.

Instructions

1. Sign in to your Facebook account using your email address and password.

2. Click the "Profile" tab in the upper-right corner of your homepage. Click the "Friends" link located in the left sidebar to access your friend list.

3. Scroll the list and click the name of the friend you wish to poke. Click the "Poke" button located in the upper-right corner of your friend's page.

Tips & Warnings

• Check the right side of your homepage for recent poke notifications. If any are listed, click the "Poke Back" link to return the poke to that friend.
