1
Cut a strip of ribbon for each letter that needs to be hung. The strips can all measure the same length so the letters hang straight, or you can cut the ribbon in different lengths, making the letters hang unevenly. The length of the ribbon depends on how far down you want your letters to hang.

2
Match up the two cut ends of each piece of ribbon to find the center point. Cut each ribbon at the center point, leaving two halves. If you are using ribbon cut at different lengths, be sure to keep the ribbon halves together to avoid mixing up the lengths.

Turn the first wooden letter over so it is face down. Position the end of one of the ribbon halves on the top left side of the letter. Use the staple gun to hold the ribbon in place. Position the end of the other ribbon half on the top right side of the same letter. Use the staple gun to hold the ribbon in place.

4
Pull the loose ends of the ribbon halves up from the wooden letter and match up the ends.

5
Tie the ribbon ends together in a neat bow. Cross the right ribbon end over the left. Pull the right end forward and under the crossed ribbons, as if you are tying a shoe. Keep the ribbons taut.

6
Loop the left ribbon in your left hand. Wrap the right ribbon around the base of the left loop to make the left side of the bow. Stick the right ribbon through the ribbon around the base of the left loop. Pull the right ribbon through the wrapped ribbon to make the second loop. Pull tight. Adjust the bow to ensure it is even.

7
Continue stapling all of the ribbon halves to the back of the wooden letters. Tie the ribbon halves together so each letter will hang from a tied bow.

8
Use the nails and hammer to secure the bows and hanging letters onto the wall.
