Shampoo and condition your hair. Blow dry the hair until damp. Comb through it with a wide-tooth comb. Apply a moderate amount of setting lotion to the hair, and comb it through.

2
Part your hair just left of the middle part. Take a section of hair that is about 2 inches wide on the right side of that part. Mist the hair with hairspray. Allow it to dry.

Hold a curling iron diagonally. Use a medium-barrel curling iron. Wrap the section of hair around the barrel of the iron. Hold for 10 seconds and release the hair. Pin the curl to the hair with a bobby pin right away, and leave it until it is thoroughly cooled.

Repeat this on the right side of the head, working backward. Next do the same for another section on the left side, and continue until you have done all of the hair.

5
Remove the bobby pins from the hair. Use your fingers to rake through the curls and loosen them up substantially. Apply a small amount of a shine serum to the hair. Spray lightly with hairspray.
