Store peaches in the pantry until they're ripe, allowing the fruit to reach full flavor before being refrigerated.

Place ripe peaches directly in the refrigerator's crisper. They'll last three to five days before starting to spoil.

Peel and cube or slice the peaches for freezer storage. Combine each quart of peaches with 6 cups water, 2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup lemon juice.
