How to Change the Graphics Helper App in Thunderbird Mail
Thunderbird, a cross-platform email application by Mozilla, tracks previous choices in how to handle email attachments. When the selection is made to open a file with a specific application, and the option to "Do this automatically for files like this form now on" is selected, Thunderbird will automatically use that application for all attachments of that file type from that point forward. You can choose to override that preference on a file by file basis by right-clicking on an attachment and selecting which application to use to open the file. You can also change the default application entirely in the preferences.
