How to Divide Old-Messages into Smaller Folders in SquirrelMail With DreamHost

DreamHost, a Web hosting and domain registration company, utilizes an automatic archive feature to keep in-boxes below a specified threshold. This threshold is set by the domain administrator when email accounts are created. Based on either a set number of emails in your inbox or the total amount of space taken up by those emails, the "Inbox Archiver" will automatically be triggered. This will move the oldest emails from your inbox to a folder called "Old-Messages." The number of emails moved is determined by what is necessary to keep the inbox below the specified quotas. You can create subfolders within the "Old-Messages" folder for better archival organization. This process varies, depending on the email program used to access the account. For SquirrelMail, the process is part of the "Folder Management" options.
