How to Write Tweets for Others to Tweet

Millions of users are on Twitter daily, sharing their thoughts in 140 characters or less. Some people use Twitter as a way to reach out to customers or share news with people on the site. When you want people to tweet the tweets you write, use original thoughts or links that will help users learn more information. More importantly, you should ask others to help you by tweeting what you wrote.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into Twitter with your user name and password.

    • 2

Type the tweet you wish to have others tweet in the message box. Keep it short.

    • 3

Type "Please RT" or "Pls RT" depending on how many characters you have left. This means "Please Retweet." Retweet is the process where someone sends the tweet you wrote to their followers.

Open a word processing document to write tweets that can be sent at a later time. Type out a message in 140 characters or less. To see if a message is short enough, highlight the tweet and look in the lower right corner of the screen to see how many characters you typed out. The tweets can then be copied and pasted to a Twitter account as needed.
