How to Cancel My Blockbuster Account
As of 2011, Blockbuster offers a free trial for their online service of delivering movies and games to your home by mail or through in-store exchanges. If you find that this service is not for you, you can cancel your membership within the free trial period to avoid charges to your credit card. If you have been a member for some time but would like to stop using the service, you can cancel your membership as well.

Log in to your Blockbuster account using your email address and Blockbuster password.

Click on the "My Account" link near the top right corner of the page.

Click on the "Cancel" link, which is under the "Subscription Plan" section. Follow the directions that appear. Give the reason you want to cancel your membership to Blockbuster, as well as any other information requested.

Return any movies and games you have at the end of your membership period to Blockbuster by either mailing them or returning them to a participating Blockbuster store to avoid charges to your credit card.

Tips & Warnings
Blockbuster does not refund any fees already paid, so if your membership has been paid for past the date that you are requesting cancellation, specify an effective termination date that includes the rest of your paid-for period in order to get the most benefit for your money. For example, if you have paid for your account through April 15, and you decide to cancel your membership on April 1, specify that you would like the effective termination date to be April 15.
If Blockbuster does not receive any movie and game rentals you have rented within 10 days of your membership cancellation date, Blockbuster will charge your credit card for the outstanding items, and you will be allowed to keep them. If you do not wish to keep the items, return them to Blockbuster within 30 days of the charge, and Blockbuster will refund the charge.
