How to Convert From a Badger Air Hose to an Iwata Airbrush
Badger and Iwata both make quality airbrushes, but many artists and modelers find that one of the two works better for specific tasks. However, if you have just one compressor, changing back and forth is a hassle. The easiest solution is to use an adapter made by Iwata specifically for this process. An Iwata adapter allows for relatively quick changes between airbrushes.
Instructions
-
-
1
Remove the Badger airbrush from the Badger hose.
-
2
Slide the smaller part of the adapter into the larger part so that the Iwata threading is exposed if necessary.
-
-
3
Screw the Iwata-to-Badger adapter to one end of the Iwata hose tightly with your fingers.
-
4
Screw the free end of the adapter to the Badger hose tightly with your fingers.
-
5
Screw in the Iwata airbrush to the free end of the Iwata hose tightly with your fingers.
-
6
Test the flow of air to make sure the connections are tight and tighten by hand if necessary.
-
7
Remove the adapter by disconnecting it at the point where the Badger hose meets the adapter to change back and forth.

Tips & Warnings
You may be able to find adapters in a hardware store for airhoses that convert from the Badger size to the Iwata size, but the threading is likely to be different and could damage the airbrush.
