How to Make Orchid Hangers
Hanging orchids on mounts mimics their natural growth patterns and prevents root rot by increasing airflow. Many gardeners believe mounted orchards look better than those grown in pots, as their roots form an attractive shape as they flatten and cling to their growing surface. Hang orchids vertically on a tree branch and in a humid spot to best replicate their natural environment. Does this Spark an idea?

Screw one or more ceiling hooks into the top of the mount, depending on its weight.
-
-
3
Soak the mount in water for 12 hours or more.
-
4
Spread the orchid roots over the mount, and secure them with fishing line. Tie them tightly, but not so tightly that the line cuts into the roots.
