How to Hide the Network ID Button
One of the useful security features included with many wireless routers is the ability to disable SSID, or the network ID, that is broadcast to others. The SSID/network ID is the name of your wireless network, and when broadcast it enables a button that will show up in the wireless networks list on any computer within range. When broadcast is disabled; however, the SSID/network ID button for your network will be hidden from the list.
