How to Bridge a WRT300N Wireless
Although the Lynksis WRT300 N wireless router has a long wireless Internet range, it may not give a strong enough signal in rooms that are farther away from it. The easiest way to make the signal stronger is to install another wireless router as a bridge to the WRT300 N. This will make the wireless signal bounce from router to router, increasing the strength throughout the house.

Open the Internet browser and enter the Linksys WRT300 IP address. In most cases the default IP address is 192.168.1.1.but it may differ. Check the instruction manual for the IP address if it differs.
-
2
Select the "Wireless Settings" tab when the Linksys WRT300 Internet configuration window opens. Write down the username and password and the "Wireless Network Mode" settings used. These could be "G," "B," "N" or "Mixed."

Move the second wireless router you want to use as a bridge to an area farther away in the home. Connect an Ethernet cable connection to the first port on the router and the other end to the network connection on the computer. This is for installation purposes only.
-
4
Turn on the computer and open the Internet browser. Enter the router IP address in the same way you entered it on the Linksys WRT300.
-
5
Select the "Basic Setup" tab from the top toolbar, and click the "Network Address Server Settings (DHCP.)" Choose the "Disable" option, so that the waypoint gets its DHCP settings from the Linksys WRT300 router.
-
6
Select the "Wireless Settings" tab on this router. Change user name and password and the "Wireless Network Mode" settings to those you wrote down.
-
7
Remove the Ethernet cable connection from the router to the computer. Connect to the wireless connection using the wireless icon in the taskbar next to the time. Navigate to any websites you want.
