How to Make Your Own Crazy Putty

Kids enjoy playing with crazy putty.

Kids enjoy playing with toys that are squishy, messy and gross-looking, such as crazy slime. Although you can buy toys like crazy putty or crazy slime at any toy store or specialty shop, you can save time and money by making a batch of it yourself. This enables you to make as much or as little crazy slime as you prefer. You can make the putty using common craft materials that can be purchased from any craft supply store.

Things You'll Need

• 2 bowls
• Borax
• Food coloring
• Spoon
• White craft glue

Instructions

1. Combine 1 teaspoon of borax powder into a bowl with 1 cup of water. Stir the mixture for one minute to combine them completely.

2. Pour 4 ounces of white craft glue into a second bowl. Add in 1 cup of water, and stir the mixture for one minute to combine them completely.

3. Squeeze three to four drops of food coloring into the bowl with the borax solution, and mix the solution well to incorporate the food coloring into the water.

4. Pour the glue mixture into the bowl with the borax water.

5. Mix the substances together with a spoon until it becomes too thick to manage. Scoop up the colorful crazy putty into your hands to play with it.
