How to Recover AIM Logs
AIM stands for "AOL Instant Messenger." It is a program that lets you communicate in real time by typing with another friend online. If you closed out the conversation box you had with a friend and want to recover a record of that conversation, do so by opening the AIM chat logs with a tool from inside of the AIM program. This lets you read a record of the chat at your leisure.

Click "Options" in the AIM program.

Select "Settings."

Click "IM Logs" and "View Logs." Open the log you want to recover the conversation.

Tips & Warnings
You'll need to have the box checked for "Log my IM Conversations" box inside of the "IM Logs" Window in order to recover logs.
