How to Verify a Trademark
Trademarks are represented by a superscript "TM" at the end of a company name or product, although it may also be a graphic or combination. Generally, a company's trademark style and usage is under the control of its marketing department, or the executive in charge of marketing. If you are writing or designing a document that cites something with a trademark (e.g., a press release or product review), you want to verify you have represented it correctly, including spelling and graphics usage.
Instructions

-
1
Open the official website of the company whose trademarked name or product you want to verify.
-
2
Look for and click on the link to its trademarks, media, marketing or legal section. Many companies list their trademarks and how they should be represented on their website within one or more of these sections. If none of these sections provide trademark verification for the name or graphic you are trying to verify, write down a phone number for the media/marketing contact (if available) or the general number.

3
Call the company and ask for a marketing representative. Explain to the representative you want to verify proper usage of a certain trademark and ask how to do so.

Tips & Warnings
Although a "TM" trademark does not have to be registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), it is good business practice to verify and use the trademarked version with the owner.
