Open the computer's Web browser and navigate to "Analogx.com." Click the "Audio" option beneath the "Software" heading and click the "Vocal Remover" option on the following page. Click the "Download Now" link to download the plug-in file to the computer's hard drive.

Double-click on the plug-in file you downloaded in Step 1. To continue, read through the Software License Agreement and click the "I Accept" button in the pop-up window that appears.

Click the "Browse" button. Click the "Computer" option, followed by the computer's default volume (usually the "C:/" volume). Click the "Program Files" folder, followed by the "Winamp" folder. Finally, click the "Plugins" folder, followed by the "Accept" button to select the plug-in installation location.

Double-click the Winamp application icon to launch the application. Click the "Options" tab and select the "Preferences" option from the Option menu. Click the "DSP/Effects" option beneath the "Plug-ins" heading. Click the "AnalogX Vocal Remover" option to activate the plug-in. Click the red "X" icon in the upper-right corner of the Preferences window to close the window. The Vocal Remover plugin will now appear as a slider in the Winamp program window.

Click the "Playlist" button in the Winamp program window, followed by the "Add" button. Locate the song file that you want to remove the vocal track from in the pop-up window that appears. Highlight the song and click the "Open" button to add the song to your Winamp playlist.

Click on the song you added to your playlist in Step 5. Click the "Play" button to begin playing the song. Slide the Vocal Remover slider up until the song's vocal track can no longer be heard.
