Sprint Overdrive Instructions

The Sprint Overdrive can provide Internet access to up to five devices at once. During installation, you can set up the device to connect your computer through the Sprint network. If you experience problems with the device, update it to help resolve the problems. You can do an update right on the device, so there's no need to take it into a Sprint store.

Instructions

Installation

1. Connect your Sprint Overdrive to your computer using the USB cable included with the device's packaging. Press the "Power" button to turn on the device.

2. Click "Run setup.exe" when options for your device are displayed.

3. Click "OK" to agree to the installation of the drivers and the software for the Overdrive on your computer.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the device. You are prompted to select a username and password for the device.

5. Restart your computer when prompted.

3G Activation

1. Connect the Sprint Overdrive to your computer and turn on the device.

2. Open a Web browser and enter "http://192.168.0.1" in your address bar to view the homepage.

3. Enter your administrator password when prompted.

4. Click "Alerts," then click "Activate Now." A confirmation message is displayed when 3G is activated for your device.

5. Click "Connect" to establish a connection.

3G Update

1. Open a Web browser and enter "http://192.168.0.1" in the address bar. Press the "Enter" key.

2. Log in to the administrator account.

3. Click "Alerts," then select the 3G updates alert.

4. Click "Update Now" and wait for the update to complete.

Updating Software

1. Open a Web browser and navigate to "http://192.168.0.1" to access the homepage.

2. Click "Alerts" and select the "Software Update" alert.

3. Click "Update Options" and read the information regarding the update.

4. Click "Download and Install Now." Wait for the updates to complete before attempting to use your Overdrive.
