How to Make Your Own Robin Suit

Robin is Batman's younger sidekick. The Robin character has had two identities, Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. Dick Grayson was the original Robin introduced in 1940, who eventually turned into Nightwing. In the 1980s, DC comics introduced Jason Todd to wear the Robin costume once more. Robin has had several suit variations, but his basic outfit includes the colors green, red, yellow and black. The original Robin wore no leggings and green felt shoes, but newer versions of Robin show him wearing green leggings and tall, black boots.

      Cut three rectangles from felt about 2 inches wide and 4 inches long. Glue these rectangles to the middle front of the leotard to look like the buttons on Robin's shirt.

      Cut a yellow "R" about three inches high and a black circle about 4 inches across from felt. Cut a 6-inch wide belt from yellow felt equaling the circumference of your waist. Cut a 6-inch wide circle from yellow felt.

      Glue the "R" to the middle of the black circle. Glue the black circle to the right side of the leotard. Glue the yellow circle to one end of the belt.

      Cut a cape from the yellow felt equaling the width of your shoulders and the length of your back.

      Put on the green T-shirt and green leggings. Wear the leotard over the leggings. Put on the black boots and green gloves. Wrap the belt around your waist and hold in place with safety pins. Pin the yellow cape to your shoulders with safety pins.
