How to Level a LOTRO Bullroarer
"The Lord of the Rings Online" (LOTRO) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that has been active since 2007. The game is often patched with new content and bug fixes, but before these patches are made public they are rigorously tested by players on the "Bullroarer" server. "Bullroarer" is a LOTRO test server, where players level up characters using new skills, quests and equipment set to be released on other servers at a later date.
Instructions
-
-
1
Download the LOTRO test server client program (See Resources). Save it to your "Downloads" folder for easy access.
-
2
Install the "Bullroarer" test server by double-clicking on the downloaded .exe file and following the on screen instructions. The "Bullroarer" client will patch itself up to the latest version once it is finished installing the basic program.
-
-
3
Log in to the "Bullroarer" test server by filling in the log-in boxes with your current LOTRO username and password.
-
4
Create a character on the "Bullroarer" server by following the standard character creation process. Select your character's facial and body type graphics, then select your origin point. Enter in your chosen name for your character, then click "Enter World" when you are finished.
-
5
Talk to the starting prologue quest giver, like Amden the Ranger in the Shire or Archet, or Bali the Dwarf in Frerin's Court. The starting quest giver will be very close to your character's starting point. Complete the quests given out by any NPCs in the area to level up quickly. Finish the prologue starting quest line to enter the rest of the LOTRO world.
-
6
Talk to NPCs around your starting town to gain access to quests. Complete quests that appear to be blue, white, yellow or red, as these quests will be easily completed solo, and provide good experience. Select your quest rewards based on need, and always select a more powerful weapon if the option is available. Using the best equipment you have access to will help you level up on "Bullroarer."

Tips & Warnings
Complete quests with a partner or fellowship to gain more experience at a faster rate.
Take advantage of the new content added in to "Bullroarer" every week or so. Seek out new quests and equipment by reading the patch notes section of the "Bullroarer" forum (See Resources).
Do not attempt to complete quests that are colored orange or purple, as these quests are very difficult and can result in death or failure.
