A Holly Wreath With No-Sew Fabric
When the holidays roll around, a little bit of holly gives your home some much welcome holiday cheer. Holly wreaths signify good will and they are a pleasant thing to hang on your door. When you want to make a holly wreath for your home, but you do not want to wrestle with real holly or sew something on the machine, make a simple holly wreath with felt and hot glue.
Things You'll Need
- Green felt
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Foam wreath
- Hot glue gun
- Red plastic berries
Instructions
-
-
1
Measure a rectangle on the green felt that is 3 inches long and 2 inches wide.
-
2
Cut out the rectangle with a pair of scissors.
-
-
3
Fold the rectangle in half along the length.
-
4
Snip off the corners of the rectangle, leaving a trapezoidal shape with the bottom folded edge being the longest.
-
5
Cut a shallow curve into all three cut edges.
-
6
Open the felt up. You have a scalloped shape the resembles that of the holly leaf.
-
7
Repeat steps 1 through 6 until you have enough holly leaves to cover the foam wreath.
-
8
Glue the felt leaves to the foam wreath using the hot glue gun. Point all the leaves in the same direction traveling around the foam wreath, giving it the look of a real wreath.
-
9
Glue the stems of red plastic berries to the leaves, adding a bright touch of crimson to the wreath.
