      Put the dress shirt on and button the front buttons. Adjust the fit of the sleeves to make them comfortable.

      Grasp the edge of one cuff and fold it back until it fits over your wrist properly.

      Align the buttonholes on the open edges of the cuff -- after folding them, you will have four layers of cuff fabric at your wrist with a buttonhole in each layer of fabric.

      Position the cuff link in the center of the folded cuff where it join around your wrist. Insert one-half of the cuff link stem through the two closest buttonholes. Insert the other half of the cuff link stem through the other two buttonholes. This anchors the cuffs together at the outside edge of your wrist.

      Repeat the same process with the other French cuff at your other wrist.
