How to Make Silver Bangles
Jewelry has been used to enhance beauty for centuries. Many people also buy jewelry for other people as a sign of affection or in celebration of a special occasion. Jewelry can be expensive, and although silver is not the most expensive material, it can still cost more than some are willing to or able to spend. With a few materials and a bit of craftsmanship, almost anyone can make their own silver bangles.

1
Measure your wrist or the wrist of the person you are making the bangle for with measuring tape. When you have the measurement, increase that measurement by 2 inches so that the bangle hangs loosely on your wrist when it is complete.
-
2
Cut the wire to the adjusted measurement with the wire cutter and smooth out the edges of the wire using the wire rounder. At one end of your wire, bend a small loop with your pliers. On the other end of the wire, bend the wire into a partial loop. This part of the wire will be the catch of your bangle.

Curve the silver wire until it is the shape that you desire. If you like, you can use a bracelet mandrel to shape the wire. If you don't have a mandrel, you can use another rounded object. Hit the wire gently with the plastic mallet so that it forms to the rounded shape.

Add any beads or accessories to the wire if you desire. Try on the bangle, fitting the catch into the loop.
