How to Convert Vro to Vob

How to Convert Vro to Vob thumbnail
Vob files are the standard used on commercial DVD movies.

Vro is the standard format used by devices such as DVD recorders for recording videos. Though it also uses an MPEG-2 encoding system, it is different from Vob, which is the standard format used for movies. Vob is the abbreviation for "Video Object." It is normally stored on discs when a Video DVD is burned. Because of the differences, a conversion is often necessary, especially when you want to play a Vro file on a regular DVD player.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose a video converter program (see Resources).

    • 2

Download, install and run the program from the link chosen in the previous step.

    • 3

Load the Vro file into the program by clicking "File" and "Open".

    • 4

Choose the output format for the conversion process. In this case, select "Vob" when prompted.

    • 5

Click "Convert" to begin the actual conversion process.

    • 6

Wait until the progress bar reaches 100 percent. Video conversion can take a while, especially if converting a big Vro file.
