How to Make a Sewing Case
If you enjoy sewing your own clothing or home accessories, then you know how difficult it can be to keep your sewing needles organized. This can result in sewing needles ending up in carpeting or stuck in a chair cushion, which can be dangerous. One solution is to use a sewing case, which will hold your needles in an orderly manner. Instead of buying a sewing needle case from a craft store, make your own using inexpensive craft materials.

2
Cut out a rectangle from felt fabric using pinking shears to measure 4 inches wide, 6 inches long. Use a different color of felt fabric for the second rectangle.
-
-
3
Fold the long rectangle in half lengthwise, and press the fold. Open up the rectangle again. The seam will be visible.
-
4
Place the short felt rectangle onto one side of the long felt rectangle. Line up the edges and pin them into place with straight pins.
-
5
Sew around the edges of the short rectangle, effectively sewing it onto the longer rectangle.
-
6
Cut two pieces of ribbon with scissors to each measure 2 inches long.
-
7
Place the felt form horizontally in front of you. Place a ribbon sticking out horizontally from both sides, putting the ribbon in the middle of each side. Sew both ribbons in place.
-
8
Stick your sewing needles into the doubled felt, fold over the rectangle again and tie the rectangle together using the ribbons to complete the sewing case.
