Rinse the green beans. Slice the ends off the end of each bean. Preheat an oven to 125 degrees.
-
2
Boil a large pot of water. Dump the beans into the water for three to five minutes.
-
-
3
Strain the beans in a colander. Pour the beans directly into a pot of ice cold water. The cold water prohibits cooking from continuing, retains the color of the beans and keeps beans crisp. Remove and strain the beans after three to five minutes.
-
4
Place the beans on a cutting board. Dice the beans into 1-inch to 1.5-inch sections. Put all bean pieces on a dehydrating tray. Spread out the beans so they do not overlap.
-
5
Place dehydrating tray into the oven. Flip beans every 15 minutes for thorough drying. Continue the drying process until all beans are shriveled and crisp. Remove the tray and turn off the oven. Allow 15 to 20 minutes for beans to cool.
