How to Customize Superhero Masks
Superhero masks are a fun craft project for children, and can be customized by the child or a parent to create a unique superhero. The masks can be made from card stock, cardboard, foam sheets or felt. They can be decorated with markers, paint, or by gluing on shapes cut from paper, foam or felt. While the mask can be made by laying it on the child's face and marking the eyes, there are templates available both online and in hobby and craft stores which make the process simplier.

1
Remove your mask template from the book, or print it onto paper if you are printing it from a website.
-
2
Lay the mask onto a piece of felt, and trace the outline of the mask template onto the felt. Don't forget the eye holes.

3
Cut out the mask and the eyeholes with scissors. Cut out additional shapes from the scraps of felt, or use contrasting colors. Decorate the mask in any way you would like. Attach these pieces of felt with fabric glue and allow to dry according to the bottle's instructions.
-
4
Punch a hole on each side of the mask. String elastic through these holes and knot either end to secure the mask.
