How to Increase Brush Size in CS4 Flash

Animators using the Adobe Creative Suite Flash software to compile video clips and mini-movies might spend a great deal of time working with the software's buttons, timeline, property inspector and palettes. But Flash CS4 is equipped with some of the more basic tools, providing the opportunity to do sketching and drawing with Flash's version of paintbrushes. Enhance your background and add designs with some of Flash CS4's biggest brush heads.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Flash CS4. Click the "Flash Document" link in the "Create New" section. If you're already working on a FLA file, click the "Open" link and browse to it.

    • 2

Click the "Brush" tool, which looks like a paintbrush on the "Tools" collection. The brush sizer menu opens at the bottom of the pane.

    • 3

Pull down the top of the two drop-down menus at the bottom of the pane. The current brush size is highlighted in blue. Click a brush head below it for a larger brush.
