How to Tie a Ribbon on a Flower Girl's Basket
Most flower baskets feature a generous amount of ribbons, lace and flower petals. With a little imagination and creativity, you can combine these elements to make a beautiful little basket that any little girl will want to carry. Choose a ribbon in a color that complements the wedding colors and the flower petals, and tie the ribbon onto the flower girl's basket to finish the design.

1
Pull about 18 inches of ribbon off the spool. Grasp the ribbon at the 18-inch point and place it at the spot where the basket handle connects to the basket.
-
2
Leave the 18-inch tail of ribbon extending off the basket and begin wrapping the ribbon spool around the basket handle. Continue winding the spool of ribbon around the handle until you come to the other end of the basket handle where it attaches to the basket. This will cover the handle with ribbon.

3
Unwind another 18-inch tail of ribbon and cut the ribbon off the spool with scissors.
-
4
Take both tails of ribbon and meet them together at the center point between the two handles. Tie the two ribbons together in a double knot at this point.
-
5
Tie the ribbons in a simple bow over the double knot. Trim the ribbon tails at a 45-degree angle to make them even and allow them to hang straight down from the bow.
