How to Change Message Alerts on Alcatel Tribe Phone
The OT-800 Tribe is a smartphone sold by Alcatel in the United States. By default, the phone will play an audible alert when you receive a new text message or email message. You can change this audible alert to a different sound through the phone's Options menu. Through this same menu, you can also select a vibration alert or no alert for incoming text messages and email messages.

Select "Options" from the home screen of your Alcatel Tribe phone.

Select the "Sounds" option and choose the "Edit" option.

Scroll-down and select "Incoming message."

Scroll-down to select a new message alert. Your phone will play a sample of the new audible alert when you select any of the alerts.

Press the "OK" button to save your new settings.
