How to Avoid Automatic Setup in Thunderbird
In Mozilla Thunderbird, when you set up a new email account it will automatically try to assign the settings for that email server. Although this is useful for standard and nonsecure email accounts, if you need to configure the email with more detail, you can avoid the autoconfiguration and set up the advanced settings. The advanced settings allow you to change the Secure Sockets Layer options and other security options.
