How to Debug a JAR File

A "Jar File" is a Java Archive file, which essentially aggregates many files of a similar formatting into one to conserve space on your computer. One of the main examples are ZIP files, which are commonly used to transfer or share data from one computer to the next. However, like any type of computer media, a Jar file can become corrupted or bugged. If this is the case, you can debug it via the properties feature of your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the file you want to Debug.

    • 2

Right-click on it, and then scroll down to select "Properties."

    • 3

      Select the "Security" tab.

    • 4

      Click on "Advanced Settings."

    • 5

Select the "Debug" button. This will put the file through a debugging process. When it is finished, you will be notified what was fixed with the file.
