How to Increase the Column Size in Zen Cart

Customize the Zen Cart shopping cart system for your online business.

Zen Cart is an open source e-commerce solution for small businesses selling both physical and digital goods. You can use this instant storefront with or without the shopping cart function; the original template is fully customizable. Two columns surround the main section of the front page. You can adjust the size of these columns to suit your needs.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Zen Cart control panel to get to your Admin Home panel.

2. Click on the "Configuration" option at the far left of the menu bar to see the drop-down menu. Click on "Layout Settings" to get to the column settings.

3. Select the "Column Width -- Left" option. Enter the size in pixels that you would like to change it to. Change it to 250 px, for example, to add 100 pixels to the default column size of 150 pixels.

4. Click the "Update" button to save your new column width size.

5. Repeat for "Column Width -- Right" if you want to change both sides.

Tips & Warnings

• You will find the "Column Width" settings midway down the title list. Do not confuse them with the "Column Width Box" settings.

• Follow the same instructions to change the "Column Width Box" settings.
