How to Get Items in "IMVU"
"IMVU" is an virtual reality-based online community where members can create a customized 3-D avatar that interacts with other members in virtual chat rooms, community forums and instant messaging platforms. Members can also browse and choose items from the site's catalog, such as clothing or furniture to dress the avatar or decorate a 3-D room. If you would like to add a new plant to your avatar's room or spice up your outfit with a pair of stilettos, you can get these items using your member dashboard.

Log in to your "IMVU" account using your username or avatar name and password.

Click the "Dress Up" tab on your dashboard.

Use the drop-down menu to select an item from any category. For example, if you want a new shirt, click the "Tops" tab.

Hover over the item using your mouse and click the "+" ("Add") button. To keep the item, click "Save Outfit." The item then appears on your avatar.

To buy premium-level or special request items, click the "Go Shopping" tab. Browse through the gallery and use your "IMVU" credits to buy items.
