How to Put HTML on Facebook

To put HyperText Markup Language on Facebook page, you need to install the Static FBML app on a professional page, formerly known as a fan page. The Static FBML app allows you to format a tab on your page using HTML. Because the tab is framed within the Facebook Web page, there is no need to use header tags. Although some Facebook Markup Language may still be available, use only HTML on your page. Facebook is phasing out support of FBML.

Instructions

  1. Installing an FBML Tab

    • 1

Open a Web browser and log in to Facebook. Go to your fan page. Click the "Edit Page" button. The Edit Permissions page opens. Click "Apps" on the left menu. The Added Apps page opens.

    • 7

Click "Go to App" beneath the "Static FBML" description. A new window opens.

    • 8

Type a title for your new tab in the "Box Title" text field. This title is what people will see before clicking on the tab to see your HTML page.

    • 9

Enter the contents of your HTML page in the "FBML" field. You may use any HTML code you like. The page is framed within the Facebook page, so there is no need to include header tags. You can begin with headline tags or paragraph tags as desired, such as <h1>, <h2> or <p>.
