How to Hook Up a Flat Home Surveillance to a TV
Hooking up a home surveillance system to a TV takes less than a minute using an RCA or coaxial cable. The cameras for a home surveillance system are all connected to a central control module or hub. The feed can then be exported to a TV or monitor from the control unit. Depending on the model of the control unit, several feeds can be displayed at once on the TV.

1
Locate the "Video Out" port on the surveillance control unit. Determine the type of output port. It will likely be an RCA or coaxial. A coaxial port looks like the port on the TV where a cable feed would come in. A video RCA port will likely be yellow and will be larger.
-
2
Purchase the necessary cable. Both types of cables are inexpensive and available at all electronic stores. Purchase a male-male cable.
-
-
3
Plug one end of the cable into the surveillance control unit's "Video Out" port.
-
4
Plug the other end of the cable into the TV's "Coaxial In" or "RCA Video In" port; depending on which cable was used.
-
5
Turn on the TV and switch the input to the surveillance cameras.
