How to Fix a Broken Right Headphone
It's frustrating when problems arise with headphones. If one particular speaker breaks, and not the other, it can still render the unit useless as a whole. If you have a few extra minutes and aren't intimidated by working with electronics, you can try to fix the headphone speaker yourself. This could require some soldering, but once you're finished your headphones will be working perfectly.

1
Use your fingers to unscrew or pop the cover off of the right headphone. This will expose the speaker and wiring.
-
2
Pull the speaker out as far as it will go. You will notice that the speaker is connected to a mini circuit board by a series of (usually three) wires. If the right speaker isn't producing sound, it is likely because one of the speaker wires is disconnected.

3
Locate any wires that are disconnected from terminals on the circuit board. Strip the ends of sheath off of the disconnected wires to expose the actual wiring.
-
4
Plug in your soldering iron and allow it to warm up. Use the soldering iron to solder the disconnected wires back to the terminals. Allow the solder to dry.
-
5
Fit the speaker back over the board and replace the speaker cover of the right headphone.
