In fact, she may indeed want you back, but may not want to appear too eager. Pride and poker faces are sometimes deemed important in such matters. The key is to be patient and not appear too desperate, as sometimes the harder you try, the further you push her away.

Give her her space and lay low. In a sense, you want her to cleanse her palate of you and view you as fresh and new. The more persistent you are, the more tired of you she will become and the more ready she will be to rid herself of the incessant rehashing of events. She knows your intentions; there's no need to repeat them ad nauseam.

Ask yourself what the major flaw was in the relationship, and make the decision to make the change, if feasible. For instance, if the deal breaker was the fact that you regularly stayed out all night, resolve to change those habits. It's important, however, to not change who you fundamentally are, as making such changes may win her back in the short term, but will breed resentment on your part in the long term.

Avoid deadlines and ultimatums. The more confrontational and standoffish you are, the less likely you will be to win her back. Remember, the ball is in her court, not yours, as you are the one who's waiting on her approval. Granted, there will eventually come a time for cutting bait and moving on, but keep that to yourself and patiently wait.

Keep the communication civil. Hard as it may be, your emotions should be kept in check. If you're angry or sad, it may drive her away from you.
