How to Unlock Cores on 555 with the 870A G54
The MSI 870A-G54 motherboard is based on the AMD 870 and SB850 chipsets. It is a Socket AM3 motherboard and supports all AMD Phenom ll and Athlon ll processors. It has for DDR3 RAM slots and uses DDR3 800, 1066 and 1333. It runs DDR3 1600 with overclocking. The G54 motherboard has on-board Ethernet and eight-channel sound courtesy of Realtek RT811DL and ALC892/ALC889 chips. It also has 6 GB SATA and RAID support. The most notable feature of the G54 board is CPU Core Control, which enables latent cores on the AMD Phenom ll X2 555 Black Edition CPU.

Turn on the computer. Press "Delete" when prompted to enter the BIOS.

Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Unlock CPU Cores." Press "Enter." Navigate to "All Cores." Press "Enter."

Press "Esc" twice to return to the main BIOS menu.

Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Exit." Press "Enter" twice to exit the BIOS and restart your computer.

Tips & Warnings
There is no guarantee that your cores will unlock. It depends on your individual processor. If the cores do not unlock, you can still get a performance boost by increasing the multiplier setting to overclock your CPU.
