Instructions

    • 1

Wear socks whenever you wear shoes. This will help decrease sweating and keep your shoes from becoming too moist or damp.

    • 2

Wear cotton socks instead of those made from material such as rayon, nylon, and Lyrca. Purchase thick socks made of cotton and other natural material that are absorbent and help your feet breathe.

    • 3

Wash your feet with mild, antibacterial soap in warm water at least once every day.

    • 4

Apply spray antiperspirant to your feet on a daily basis.

    • 5

Change your shoes and socks whenever you come home from work or after hitting the gym or participating in any athletic activities since your feet may be sweaty.

    • 6

Purchase at least two sets of shoes so that you do not wear the same shoes consecutively.

    • 7

Place your gym or work shoes on the floor in a cool, dry area to let them air out.

    • 8

Soak your feet in brewed tea that contains tannins, an astringent plant that helps reduce salivary proteins, for at least 30 minutes. Brew a fresh batch each day and repeat this process for a week.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not scrub your feet too hard when washing them. The inflammation can cause your skin to sweat more.

  • Avoid wearing plastic shoes, since plastic causes feet to sweat more. Select a leather sandal for the spring and summer months instead.

  • Persistent foot perspiration may be a sign of an infection. Consult a health professional if the tips do not help eliminate sweating.
