How to Hook Up a Non-AT&T Router With AT&T
AT&T Internet hardware comes with a modem and gateway combined to reduce the need for separate devices, but you can also connect to your AT&T DSL service with an AT&T-approved modem and a third-party router. AT&T-approved modems include Motorola 2210 and the Westell F90-6100 models, which connect to a third-party wireless router via Ethernet cable. Once connected, the network must be set up using the router's instructions, which vary based on the router used.
